Talk on 'What is Stress and how to manage it' at Ecole du Centre

[En] On the 14th of March 2023, the Rotary Club Le Réduit organized a talk on 'What is stress and how to manage it' at Ecole du Centre - Collège Pierre Poivre.

It was presented by Rotarian Sapna Jaggeshar Mudhoo, a Health Psychologist accredited by the British Psychological Society.

Mental health includes our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It affects how we think, feel, and act. It also helps determine how we handle stress, relate to others, and make healthy choices. Mental health is an area that is often neglected for too long because of its stigma. This project aimed to educate children. The purpose was to help them recognize the effects of stress, how to handle it, and how to be comfortable addressing it.

[Fr] Le 14 mars 2023, le Rotary Club Le Réduit a organisé une conférence sur le thème "Qu'est-ce que le stress et comment le gérer" à l'Ecole du Centre.

Elle a été présentée par la Rotarienne Sapna Jaggeshar Mudhoo, psychologue de la santé accréditée par la British Psychological Society.

La santé mentale englobe notre bien-être émotionnel, psychologique et social. Elle affecte notre façon de penser, de ressentir et d'agir. Elle contribue également à déterminer la manière dont nous gérons le stress, dont nous entretenons des relations avec les autres et dont nous faisons des choix sains. La santé mentale est un domaine souvent négligé pendant trop longtemps en raison de sa stigmatisation. Ce projet vise à éduquer les enfants. Il s'agissait de les aider à reconnaître les effets du stress, à le gérer et à se sentir à l'aise pour l'aborder.
