A bird’s eye view on the Mauritian economy and economic challenges

[Fr] Le jeudi soir du 25 mai 2023, le Rotary Club Le Réduit a organisé une conférence au Mauritius Gymkhana Club, Vacoas. L'orateur, M. Rameshwarlal Basant Roi G.C.S.K., s'est adressé à nous sur le sujet suivant : "Une vue d'ensemble de l'économie mauricienne et des défis économiques".

Le discours de l'orateur a été agréable à écouter et a suscité la réflexion. Le discours de M. Basant Roi était franc et parfois accablant ! Le public attentif, composé de Rotariens du Rotary Club Le Réduit, de Rotary clubs de l'île Maurice et du public en général, a posé de nombreuses questions à l'orateur qui y a répondu avec son sens de l'humour habituel.

Ceux qui n'ont pas pu venir ont manqué une soirée mémorable.

[En] On Thursday evening of 25th May 2023, Rotary Club Le Réduit organised a talk at Mauritius Gymkhana Club, Vacoas. The speaker Mr Rameshwarlal Basant Roi G.C.S.K., addressed us on the following subject: "A bird’s eye view on the Mauritian economy and economic challenges".

The speaker’s discourse was a pleasure to listen to and thought provoking. Mr Basant Roi’s address was frank and sometimes damning! The attentive audience, composed of Rotarians of Rotary Club Le Réduit, and Rotary clubs of Mauritius and also the public had many questions for the speaker who answered readily with his usual sense of humour.

Those who could not make it have missed a memorable evening.
